About me…
I’m Gina Gratza, a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Portland, Oregon.
I work with adults and couples who are thoughtful, sensitive, and often very capable on the outside—yet feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward on the inside.
Many of the people I work with have already done a lot of personal work. They’re insightful. They’ve read the books. They may even know what’s going on—but something still feels stuck in the body, in relationships, or in the nervous system.
That’s where my work tends to live.
I’m especially drawn to therapy that slows things down enough for real change to happen—not through pushing or fixing, but through attention, safety, and relationship.
I’ve spent over a decade working with trauma, eating disorders, couples, and complex relational dynamics. My training is grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy, with a strong emphasis on trauma-informed and body-aware approaches.
But just as important as training is how I show up.
I’m engaged. I’m curious. I pay attention to what’s happening between us, not just what’s being said. I care deeply about boundaries, pacing, and consent—because that’s what allows the work to go deeper without becoming overwhelming.
I don’t believe therapy needs to feel sterile or overly serious to be effective. There’s room for humor here. There’s room for honesty. There’s room for not having the right words.
